To schedule a specific session, please contact your relevant subject librarian
New and existing staff
For a one-to-one or group session on how to get the most out of the library, what services we offer or specific library resources, please contact your relevant subject librarian to make an appointment.

Subject librarians
Subject specific guides and resources are available through the library website. These guides are maintained by a subject librarian and are available on the subject guides page on the website.
The subject librarians also maintain subject internet gateways which can be a useful starting point when conducting research on the web.
If you wish to suggest the addition of resources please contact the subject librarian for the relevant subject.
Subject Librarians can assist you with your research particularly in terms of search strategies and with identifying appropriate information sources relevant to your subject.
Recommended texts
If you plan to recommend a particular textbook to students, please confirm availability by checking the item on the library catalogue and notify staff in advance. We will file a copy of the text in the short loan collection on a temporary basis.
The library can provide password protected online links to your recommended reading and course notes. For details please contact a librarian.
Book Orders
You may also recommend texts for the library’s stock that students may need in studying your course. All orders must be signed off by your Head of Department.
Book orders are requested by completing the library book order form.
Book orders are processed in May of each year along with journal subscription renewals. Please submit these orders as early as possible. The library staff webpage contains quicklinks to publisher websites and other resources for ordering library material.

Materials not held in our own library may be requested through our inter-library loans service.
This material may be requested online from the library homepage by clicking on inter library loans
