Help with preferred search / saved searches and e-mail alerts.

My Searches

There a number of options to help with your preferred searches.

Your search history - each time you do a search on the catalogue that search will be automatically saved on your library account.
Your reading history - each time you borrow an item a record will be kept for you on you library account.
Your lists - create lists of library materials to review, borrow and read at a later date.

To view searches

Using your IT Tallaght Network / Moodle ID, log in to "My Library Account" on the library home page.
A summary of the items you have currently on loan will appear. To the left you will see a list of options.

1. Your search history

Each time you do a search on the library catalogue that search will be automatically saved on your library account.
Select "your search history" from the list on the left of your account.
A list will appear of your automatically saved searches with the date on which they were searched.
When you click on the title of the search you can see the catalogue record containing all the information about the item.

Your reading history

Each time you borrow an item, a record will be kept for you on your library account.
Select "your reading history" from the list on the left of your account. Only you can
see your reading history.

3.Your lists

Create lists of library materials to review, borrow and read at a later date.
Export records from here, in several different formats.
You can place a hold on an item if it is checked-out to another user.

4. Click on the search link associated with any of the preferred search terms in the list to quickly execute your search
